On 25 Apr 2019 Buckinghamshire councillors voted unanimously to ask the Government to halt HS2 enabling works in Buckinghamshire until they have issued Notice to Proceed. The motion was put forward by county councillor Charlie Clare and seconded by councillor Angela Macpherson.
Buckinghamshire County Council is proposing to construct a new Zebra Crossing in the publicly maintained section of The Broadway in Old Amersham at a point approximately 12 metres east of the entrance to the Old Town Dovecote Car Park, in front of the new McCarthy & Stone Retirement Development.
