As you may have read in the last Newsletter’s Editorial, we will be bidding a sad but fond farewell to two of our long-serving Society officers at the upcoming AGM. Edward Copisarow and Yvonne Suckling are retiring after many years of dedicated service, which means we are now looking for enthusiastic volunteers to step forward and help run the Society.
We are looking for individuals who would be willing to get involved in one (or more!) of the following areas:
- organising the programme of talks, visits, and special events,
- keeping an eye on planning applications to protect our shared heritage,
- contributing to the Newsletter by writing up summaries of our talks or submitting original articles,
- helping with all the other tasks to keep the Society run smoothly by joining the Committee,
You don’t need prior committee experience—just a passion for our community and a little bit of time to spare. If you are interested and would like to find out more, why not come along to one of our upcoming meetings? We would love to hear from you, so please get in touch via info@amershamsociety.org.
