Society’s First Ever Online Talk

On 29 Apr 2020 the Amersham Society broke new ground triggered by the current lockdown. The presentation by well known local historian Julian Hunt on Metroland was the first Society meeting held online via Zoom. Over 60 participants connected into the meeting from their living rooms. As many joined as couples, we estimate that at least 90 members tuned in.  All in all the evening was a great success and we will try to do this again.

A full report will appear in our soon to be published May Newsletter.

For members who were unable to join the meeting for whatever reason,  a recording of the full proceedings is available. Please contact us at info@amershamsociety.org to request a link and password.

It is hoped that our next talk in May on Black Propaganda Radio by Mike Kushner will follow the same format.
