The Amersham Society Committee very much regret that, as the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to escalate and in line with Government response, we are having to cancel the talk “The World of the Honey Bee” by Howard Pool due to be given on Wed 25 Mar.
We have also cancelled two further talks:
- “Metroland” by Julian Hunt on 29 Apr
- “Black Propaganda Radio” by Mike Kushner on 27 May.
We are very disappointed about this development. But we hope that the three speakers concerned will be willing to give their talks at some later stage, probably as part of next year’s programme.
The Society Outing is due to take place in June. We obviously do not know how long this crisis will last but we shall review the situation over the next few weeks and may also have to cancel this year’s outing.
We shall keep you informed of our decision by updating our Events calendar and issuing e-alerts to our members. If the outing has to be cancelled we shall return the cheques to those twenty members who have already booked and paid for the outing.
