Historian and author Mike Payne will make a return visit to the Society to talk about the Battle of Chalgrove Field which took place in June 1643 during the First English Civil War. It is now best remembered for the loss of John Hampden, a key political figure on the parliamentarian side both before and during the war.

Coffee/tea and biscuits will be available from 7.30pm. The talk starts at 8.00pm. No booking necessary. Guests and new members welcome.
