A one-day conference ‘Buckinghamshire HS2 Archaeology Conference 6’ has been re-arranged and will now be held on Sat 22 Oct from 10am to 4.45pm at The Oculus Conference Centre in Aylesbury. Come and hear about the archaeological discoveries made in Buckinghamshire along the route of HS2.
This is probably your last chance as the archaeologists for HS2 have finished their work and are leaving for new excavations elsewhere. Eight of them will speak at a conference open to all about discoveries beneath the old church at Stoke Mandeville, new light on Grim’s Ditch in the Chilterns, Romans on the edge of Aylesbury, secrets of Buckinghamshire’s ‘ordinary’ farm buildings, a deserted medieval village and much more.
