On/Off-Street Parking Review 2024 – Statutory Consultation

Please take notice that Buckinghamshire Council proposes to make changes to the current on-street and off-street parking orders in the whole of the county, including Old Amersham and Amersham-on-the-Hill. To do so they are now running a statutory consultation, opened on 23 Jan 2024 and closing on 18 Feb 2024:

The various changes to the current parking restrictions include:

  • extension of chargeable parking hours,
  • removing free of charge parking on Sat-Sun,
  • amendments to maximum stay and no return periods, as well as waiting, loading and stopping rules.

Affected locations in the Amersham area are:

  • Amersham Multi-Storey Car Park,
  • Amersham Old Town Car Park,
  • Chiltern Avenue Car Park,
  • Council Office Car Park,
  • King George V Road On-Street Parking,
  • Sycamore Road Car Park,
  • Whielden Street On-Street Parking.
