Please take notice that Buckinghamshire Council proposes to make changes to the current on-street and off-street parking orders in the whole of the county, including Old Amersham and Amersham-on-the-Hill. To do so they are now running a statutory consultation, opened on 23 Jan 2024 and closing on 18 Feb 2024:
The various changes to the current parking restrictions include:
- extension of chargeable parking hours,
- removing free of charge parking on Sat-Sun,
- amendments to maximum stay and no return periods, as well as waiting, loading and stopping rules.
Affected locations in the Amersham area are:
- Amersham Multi-Storey Car Park,
- Amersham Old Town Car Park,
- Chiltern Avenue Car Park,
- Council Office Car Park,
- King George V Road On-Street Parking,
- Sycamore Road Car Park,
- Whielden Street On-Street Parking.
