Buckinghamshire Council granted a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order involving road closure on 2 – 28 Jun 2025 to allow essential and urgent repair works that will be undertaken on the Old Amersham Market Hall.
According to the letter to local residents and businesses issued by Amersham Town Council, these works are scheduled to commence on Mon 2 Jun and are anticipated to last for approximately three weeks, potentially concluding around Fri 20 Jun, with contingency week 23 – 28 Jun.
During this period, a full road closure will be in effect around the Market Hall on High Street, Mon to Fri, with the road being reopened on Fri evening and remaining open during the weekends. To ensure the continued flow of traffic, a clearly signposted diversion route will be in place.
