Much has been written about the Kennedys and from all aspects. This talk focuses mainly on the father of the clan Joe Kennedy Sr, how he got his money and rose up the ranks in the Democratic party to the effect, quite often detrimental and controlling, that he had on the Kennedy children.

The speaker Peter Hague is well known to the Society. His previous talks “Cliveden, Power, Politics and Scandal” (2019) and “Ian Fleming, Life and Local Connections” (2024) were very popular among our members.

Coffee/tea and biscuits will be available from 7.30pm. The talk starts at 8.00pm. No booking necessary. Guests and new members welcome.
