This year outing will be to Arundel Castle, West Sussex.

Arundel Castle was founded in 1067 and many of its original features survive to the present day including the Norman Keep, medieval Gatehouse and Barbican.

Steeped in time, the castle has been at the forefront of British history over many centuries and generations. It has been the seat of the Dukes of Norfolk and their ancestors for over eight hundred and fifty years and is the home of the present Duke and Duchess and their children. Edward William Fitzalan-Howard is the 18th Duke of Norfolk and succeeded to the title in 2002.

Within the castle walls there is much to see and learn from the fabulous preserved interiors, with fine furniture, tapestries and rare collection of paintings. The gardens and landscapes are beautiful, there are 38 acres to explore, indeed Arundel Gardens have been nominated for an award for 2025.

The entry ticket allows access to all areas of the ancient castle, stately home and gardens. It promises to be an exciting and memorable trip.

Further details including Itinerary and Booking Form will be circulated to members by email.
