Amersham Museum is hosting two talks to accompany the current temporary exhibition dedicated to Vienna-born artist Marie-Louise von Motesiczky (1906-1996) who moved to Amersham fleeing persecution in Austria during the Second World War:-

Thu 25 Apr, 7.00pm – “A DAZZLING TALENT”: THE PAINTER MARIE-LOUISE VON MOTESICZKY, talk by an art historian Ines Schlenker who wrote the artist’s catalogue raisonné;

Thu 23 May, 7.00pm – MARIE-LOUISE VON MOTESICZKY IN AMERSHAM, talk by Alison Bailey, local historian and the Museum’s trustee.

The exhibition including six paintings by the artist from the Museum’s collection is open until Mon 26 Aug 2024.
