At the Society’s Annual General Meeting on Wed 26 Oct 2022 the eight existing Committee members were re-elected unopposed. They are:
- George Allison,
- Peter Borrows,
- John Catton,
- Carol Chesney,
- Edward Copisarow,
- Geraldine Marshall-Andrew,
- Elena Morgan,
- Dorothy Symes.
The meeting was held in the Kings Chapel with approximately 40 members attending. There were no nominations for new Committee members.
At the end of the meeting Vice-Chair Edward Copisarow expressed his thanks and appreciation of the work of Dorothy Symes for four years serving as a Chair. This was hugely supported by all present and gratefully accepted by Dorothy.
This year’s charity talk was given by Dr Andrew Shepherd, Trustee of the Fountain of Peace. The Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation UK is a charity that provides for critically disadvantaged children from the Kyenjojo region of Western Uganda, often left destitute and without hope through poverty or tragedy.
