The HS2 Amersham Action Group will be gathering at the Chequers pub in Old Amersham for the announcement. (51 London Road West, Amersham, HP7 9DA Tel: 01494 727866), assuming the announcement will be on Tuesday 10th in the afternoon by the Transport Secretary, we will be gathering from about 2.00.
Amersham is the heart of Cheryl Gillan’s constituency. The Chequers pub lies almost directly over the tunnel on the edge of Amersham Old Town. It has a large screen TV and excellent parking facilities.
All our members (400 approx.), the Amersham Residents Association, the Amersham Society, local Councillors and those involved in the campaign are being invited. We can guarantee a wide range of anti HS2 display materials and very vocal locals.
Please come and show your continying opposition to HS2.
